Placing the .minecraft folder:
Mac OSX:
1. Download the .minecraft file you want.
2. Extract it using Archive Utility by double-clicking on the file.
2. Find your user in /Users. (it will have your username on it, next to a thumbnail of a house)
3. Open the "Library" folder inside your user folder.
4. Open the "Application Support" folder inside the Library folder.
5. Place the .minecraft folder in the Application Support folder.
6. Run Minecraft using the Application on the Home Page of this website.
